Return & Refunds Policy

Overview

This Returns & Refunds Policy applies only to products purchased through the Jenste Ltd online store.
It does not apply to manufacturing or electronics assembly services, which are handled separately under bespoke quotations and service agreements.

If you have questions about returns relating to manufacturing work, please contact us directly.

30-Day Return Window

You have 30 days from the date of purchase to request a return for items bought through our online store.
If more than 30 days have passed, we’ll still try to help where possible, but we may not be able to offer a refund or exchange.

Eligibility for Returns

To qualify for a return:

  • The item must be unused, undamaged, and in the same condition you received it.
  • It must be in the original packaging.
  • Proof of purchase (receipt or order confirmation) is required.

Items returned in a condition different to how they were supplied may be eligible only for a partial refund.

Partial Refunds

We may issue a partial refund if:

  • The item shows signs of use
  • The item is damaged or missing components
  • Damage occurred for reasons not caused by Jenste Ltd

Partial refund amounts are assessed case-by-case.

How Refunds Are Processed

Once your return arrives with us and is inspected, we’ll email you to confirm we’ve received it.
Approved refunds are processed within 7–14 days, returned to your original payment method.

Late or Missing Refunds

If your refund hasn’t appeared yet:

  1. Check your bank account again
  2. Contact your credit card provider
  3. Contact your bank (processing times vary)

If you still can’t locate your refund, email us at admin@jenste-lighthouse.co.uk and we’ll investigate.

Sale Items

Only regular-priced items are refundable.
Sale, clearance, and B-stock items can only be refunded if they are faulty upon arrival.

Exchanges (Faulty or Damaged Items)

If your item arrives damaged or defective, email us at admin@jenste-lighthouse.co.uk.
We’ll arrange a replacement and cover the costs if the fault is ours.

Gifts

If the product was marked as a gift at the time of purchase and shipped directly to you, you may receive a gift credit for the value of the return.
If the gift giver had the item shipped to themselves first, we will issue the refund to them.

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs.
Shipping fees are non-refundable.

For high-value returns (£50+), we recommend a tracked or insured service, as we cannot guarantee receipt without tracking.

Returns for Manufacturing Services

Manufacturing, assembly, and production work (including PCB assembly, surface-mount work, prototyping, and all custom manufacturing services) are not eligible for the retail returns policy above.

Manufacturing-related refunds, cancellations, or amendments follow the terms outlined in individual quotes, contracts, or service agreements.
